Google Vs. Panda – How Can Google Remove Their New algorithm?
What is the latest buzz in the SEO world about Panda vs. Penguin? If you have been on the Internet for any length of time, you probably remember the recent changes that Google made to their algorithms. Google hasn’t eased up on the penalties they impose on those who abuse their update system, but they have certainly done a lot more than simply change the name of the algorithm.
Google has actually implemented two updates to their ranking system, which I’ll explain. The first was Penguin, and the second was Panda. Now let’s quickly run through these updates and see how they may affect your websites. You may not even need to change your site’s content as they will take effect immediately. However, this doesn’t mean that you should ignore these updates entirely. They are still important to keep your results intact and you will learn what they are doing next in this article.
Penguin was introduced to increase rankings from Google’s old Penguin update, which penalized websites for overspending on AdWords. They spent months testing this new update and released it to everyone on August 15th. This was a major update for Google that affected many sites. They found that the majority of results from Google were being unreliable, so they decided to implement this update immediately.
How does this affect you? If you want to maintain or increase your rankings with Google, you will want to take full advantage of this update. You will want to focus on content quality instead of on link popularity. That’s because the results you get from a good backlink are just as important as your Google rankings.
Now lets talk about the algorithm changes that Google made to the Panda and Penguin algorithms. Google wants to be able to provide a good experience to their users, and this is one way they are accomplishing this. To start off, Google is no longer discriminating against websites that are spammed. This algorithm change enabled them to better manage spam links to a certain degree. This doesn’t mean you can just spam any website you want anymore, but you will need to work a little harder to obtain relevant links.
The results you receive from Google through this algorithm change is much more favorable versus Google Penguin. In fact Google is even creating websites with natural SEO results. You can now rank for specific keywords and target phrases that will bring you the most customers and result in higher page rankings. For example, if you target the keywords “backlinks” or “SEO” then you will most likely get a higher page rank.
With the Panda update Google has basically eliminated the “old tricks” to obtain high page ranks. For instance, if you used to be able to obtain a lot of backlinks to your website then that is pretty much impossible with Penguin. This update basically eliminates the entire “sitemap” and results page. If that doesn’t make sense to you then you should realize that Google is trying to make their search engines better so they don’t have to work as hard. That’s why Google has decided to eliminate many of their older tricks in order to create better results.
However, I am not saying that all Google websites are going to experience great results with these updates. In fact, there are still some that will experience low page rank results. This is because of their own ranking formula which isn’t really different than others. The only difference is that Google wants their results to be unique and the same as every other person’s. This is the reason why Google Penguin was implemented in order to prevent their results from being copied by other websites.
